Julia
Bearspace is led by Julia Tamatea.
Julia’s passion has always been interior design.
Julia has over 20 years of international experience with renowned interior design studios. Julia began her journey in Brisbane working for Mckerrell Architects. Her International experience started in Milan working for acclaimed product designer Dennis Santichiara.
Julia enhanced her skills and design instincts by working for and being mentored by London and New York design studio founders Jan Wilson at RPW Design, Anita Rosato at Anita Rosato Interior Design and Martin at Martin Brudinsky before heading back to Brisbane.
Over her career Julia has been privileged to design for Dexus, Marriot, Okura, Saga cruise liners, Manderin Oriental, Charter Hall and InterContinental.
